Wish Granted! Disney Reveals Teaser Poster for ‘Aladdin’
Your wish is finally granted! Disney have rubbed the magic lamp and set free the first teaser poster for next year’s live action adaptation of Aladdin.
The poster was released by Will Smith on Instagram with the message “LEMME OUT!! Can’t wait for y’all to see Me BLUE! 🙂 #aladdin”.
Disney Studios quickly followed up on Twitter;

That’s right! We’re getting a trailer tomorrow!
I grew up on Disney in the early nineties and I’ve made no secret of my love for both Aladdin and it’s Broadway adaptation. Out of all the live action adaptations heading our way, and there’s a lot, this is the one I’m most excited for.
I love how ornate the lamp looks. It’s not the classic design, but it works so well in live action, with the wisps of magical smoke teasing the being that resides within. It’s also a beautiful call back to the original teaser poster for the animated movie;
In fact I’d say that the poster is a beautiful combination of the original teaser and the Broadway color scheme of vivid golds and purples.
The tag line of “Choose wisely” is both simple and incredibly effective. Reflecting that wishes have consequences, both good (Aladdin) and bad (Jafar), and it is the master of the lamp who must choose how to use that power.
