‘Glass’ Motion Poster Teases New Trailer This Week

Glass
The first of what appears to be multiple motion posters for Glass promises that M. Night Shyamalan’s “real world superhero” sequel to both Unbreakable and Split nearly twenty years in the making will be getting a new trailer before the end of the week.

The first poster features James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb, also known as “the Beast” (or, as his other personalities are collectively referred to, “the Horde”), who younger audiences are likely most familiar with given how much of a gap there is between the release of Unbreakable in 2000 and Split in 2017. Included with the animation is a quote from the first trailer delivered by Crumb’s “Hedwig” persona, which is one of a disturbed nine-year-old boy:

Posters will likely be added for Elijah “Mr. Glass” Price and David Dunn as well, both of whom were introduced in Unbreakable and the latter of which had a cameo at the very end of Split, which provided the movie with its signature plot twist that it’s really set in the same world as Unbreakable. Shymalan has really turned his career around in the past few years and we can only hope that this movie will continue his winning streak, especially as it’s currently the biggest major movie to hit this January.

Glass will be released on January 18, 2019.
