Chris Evans Joins Rian Johnson’s Mystery Thriller ‘Knives Out’

Knives Out
Hot off the news that Chris Evans has wrapped filming for Avengers 4 is confirmation that he’ll be joining Daniel Craig in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out.

Deadline is reporting that Knives Out, which has been picked up for production by Media Rights Capital, has just found a major role. Sources of Deadline indicate that Chris Evans will be working on the modern-day murder mystery movie. The film will be Johnson’s first project after last year’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and will serve as a bit of a break before he begins work on a potential trilogy of Star Wars movies.

In spite of his prominence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain America, Evans has noted that he almost prefers working on smaller movies because he’s more of an introvert than his performance as Captain America would let on. So perhaps working on Knives Out, a movie with a script that Hollywood insiders are thrilled with, might just be the perfect thing for him to do after hanging up the shield (for now, at least). Evans is also involved with two other projects aside from this and Avengers 4 at this time: The Red Sea Diving Resort and Greenland.

Knives Out does not yet have a release date.
