Bumblebee Gets a New Trailer With Added Optimus Prime

The official trailer for Bumblebee has been released by Paramount, and it tells us a lot more about the film.

While the teaser was very much telling us what to expect in terms of tone and introduced us to the new human protagonist, the official trailer revealed some key plot details for the prequel; namely, that Bumblebee was actually sent to Earth by Optimus Prime as the first line of defence against the Decepticons.

We got confirmation that Optimus Prime is in the movie, if only for what is likely a small cameo. We also see a few shots of Cybertron, which will surely please the hardcore fans who have been dying to see the homeworld of the Transformers for a while now.

The trailer shows off more of the new protagonist Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld) as well as John Cena’s military character Agent Burns and the two Decepticon villains Shatter (Angela Bassett) and Dropkick (Justin Theroux).

Against all odds, the trailers are making it look like this film seem like a fun time at the movies, even for those who want to watch a Transformers movie without having to turn their brain off. Bumblebee arrives in theatres on 21 December 2018. Are you excited to see the film? Let us know in the comments.
