Marvel Fans Campaign to Help Terminally Ill Girl See ‘Avengers 4’ Early

Avengers
Several Marvel fans have joined forces to help raise Marvel’s awareness toward a fan with brain cancer who wants to see Avengers 4 before she passes away.

My Shining Star, a UK-based charity foundation helping children with cancer fulfill their last wishes, has put a spotlight on one girl named Keira who would like to know how the big cliffhanger at the end of Avengers: Infinity War will be resolved. While she has fought hard against her brain cancer for the past four years and six months, she only has an estimated three to six months left to live:

In the past few days, fans around the internet have been doing their part to raise awareness of this brave young girl and her fight against cancer, and seeking the attention of major Marvel Studios actors, executives, and crew members to give her a chance to see Avengers 4 in whatever capacity that they can muster. It certainly shows in My Shining Star’s Twitter feed, which is full of comments of support for Keira from Marvel fans and people who commend her for fighting hard against the terminal disease.

While the movie is not complete yet and is currently undergoing reshoots and additional photography, a rough cut can be assembled from the footage that the Russo brothers have filmed so far, and some visual effects shots may already be partially-completed at this point in time due to the way visual effects companies work on a movie before cameras even start rolling. It’s certainly not impossible for the movie to be shown at this state, as directors like J. J. Abrams and Zack Snyder have managed to show fans rough cuts of their movies to fans with other terminal conditions. We at Movie News Net hope that Keira and her family stay strong through this and that Marvel will hear her request.

Avengers: Infinity War is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital formats. Meanwhile, Avengers 4 will be released on May 3, 2019.
