‘Daredevil’ Season 3 Will Arrive Before the End of the Year

Daredevil
Daredevil is Netflix’s first Marvel show, and in many respects it’s also the most popular one. While many expected the next season of the show to arrive next year, news has now gotten out that the show’s third season will be arriving before year’s end.

Speaking on a conference call, Netflix’s Chief Financial Officer David Wells revealed the end-of-year lineup of television shows to the streaming service’s investors. Among them is the first official confirmation that Daredevil will be returning in 2018:

“I’d say in the short term we’ve got, I have got the great pleasure of trying to make people very happy and in the short term we’ve got new seasons coming up the second half of this year of Orange Is The New Black, Ozark, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Narcos, the finale of House of Cards, the followup series for Making a Murderer and we have some brand new IP coming up with new shows like Insatiable, Maniac with Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, Disenchantment from Matt Groening, the creator of The Simpsons doing animated comedy for us, a new show from Greg Berlanti’s company, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a spin-off of Riverdale that’s been hugely popular for us.”

So there you have it: Daredevil will return this year, which will see all four of the leads of The Defenders get follow-up seasons to their respective shows (with our hero’s companions being Jessica JonesLuke Cage, and Iron Fist). Casting information and rumors indicate that the next season will take heavy influence from the Born Again storyline, which puts Matt Murdock’s already crappy life through the shredder as he has to face off against the Kingpin, who is coming back into power after being put away at the end of the first season of the show.

Daredevil Season 3 will begin streaming sometime later this year.
