‘Peppermint’ Trailer: Jennifer Garner Gets Her ‘Punisher’ Mojo Going
In her first significant action roles since the Bad Robot TV series Alias way back in the early-to-mid-2000s, Jennifer Garner plays a woman who takes up vigilantism five years after her husband and daughter’s killers are acquitted by a sleazy justice system.
The movie doesn’t really bother hiding that it’s derivative of similar works like Death Wish or The Punisher (and, if I’m not mistaken, that carousel looks awfully familiar if you’ve seen the Netflix show), but that doesn’t matter. It’s great to see Garner in this kind of a role again so many years after Alias wrapped up.
Peppermint will be released on September 7, 2018.
