Margot Kidder Passes Away at 69
It is with deep sadness that we report Margot Kidder has died. The actress, best known as Lois Lane from the original Superman movie series, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday.
Born in Canada in 1948, Margot Kidder appeared in many movies and TV shows throughout her career, but for many she will always be Lois Lane. In addition to her on screen roles, Margot Kidder was a strong and passionate advocate for mental health awareness, as well as a keen political and environmental activist.
DC Comics issued a fitting tribute to the woman who was an icon to so many, saying simply:
